NHTSA's summary
VIDA 2015 Battery Testing Update (April 19, 2016) The previously reported issue with VIDA 2015 and battery testing has been resolved. VIDA 2015 Battery testing is the only approved method for producing battery test codes. The use of VIDA Classic or other measuring tools is not considered acceptable when submitting warranty claims. We are aware of a problem with performing the automatic battery tests using VIDA 2015. Problems could occur with the accuracy of the SOC (State of Charge) information.
