TT4513012023-07-10. Service bulletin. After replacing a Bosch 5.7 ABS module, refer to the table below to determine correct module coding value based on vehicle PR codes. Listed login code must be entered under Access/authorization before coding is attempted. After completing coding, G85 steering angle sensor basic settings must be performed before cycling key. To perform G85 basic settings manually in Vehicle self-diagnosis (VAS PC) or Control Module OBD (ODIS), start by entering access/authorization code 40168. After code is accepted, turn steering wheel 1 turn left and back to center, one turn right, and then center steering wheel. Select basic settings and enter group 1. Once display changes to ?Sensor OK? or ?Calibration OK?, basic settings have been completed. Cycle key OFF and then back ON. Clear faults to verify repair.
TT4509032023-07-10. Service bulletin. If, after replacement of the steering rack, fault code 01309 008 is set in the ABS/ESP module only, follow the test plan in GFF for Driver Steering Recommendation (DSR) or channel 3 activation. If the test plan fails to clear the fault, follow the direction below using Vehicle Self Diagnosis in Address Word 44 - Steering Assistance
TT4508022023-07-10. Service bulletin. Fault code 02543 000 ?Brake Vacuum Sensor no Display? may be encountered in the ABS module. This may be caused by the hydraulic brake boost function (HBV) in adaptation value 61 being turned off (value = 0). All Passat Wagons (including 4motion) and 3.6L equipped sedans with front drive should have this function turned on (value = 1). Change the adaptation value and verify the fault has cleared. Additionally, it may be necessary to lock the vehicle and allow the modules to go to sleep to clear the fault.
TT4506542023-07-05. Service bulletin. To code a Bosch 5.3 ABS control module, use Vehicle Self-diagnosis to enter the correct coding value from the tables below. Note that the first table is only applicable to 2.8L V6 equipped vehicles WITHOUT a CAN-Bus. All 1.8L Turbo vehicles and those 2.8L V6 vehicles that are equipped with a CAN-Bus should use the second table.

For long crank/ difficulty starting with the engine hot: Before replacing any components for this complaint, drain the fuel from the vehicle and replace with known good diesel fuel from a reputable source. If the complaint still exists, check fuel pressure and injector timing.
TT2113012023-07-05. Service bulletin. If mechanical damage is found to the turbocharger (e.g. damaged compression wheel, loose or broken shaft), it is not enough to just replace the turbocharger.
TT8710052023-06-13. Service bulletin. For concerns of no or intermittent A/C operation where pressure diagnosis does not lead to a cause, be sure to check the N25 A/C clutch coil. The fan control module may send a brief voltage signal to the clutch and then shut it off due to an open or high resistance in the coil circuit. The coil resistance should be between 3.5 and 4.5 ohms. If the reading is high or low when checked at the fan module, be sure to double check right at the coil to rule out any wiring concerns. Additionally, check ground circuit integrity for the clutch coil.
