13196A - SERVICE UPDATE (US AND CANADA VINS ADDED). THIS BULLETIN PROVIDES A SERVICE PROCEDURE TO REPROGRAM THE HEADLAMP CONTROL MODULE ON CERTAIN VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH ADAPTIVE FORWARD LIGHTING (T4F). DURING VEHICLE START-UP, A LOW VOLTAGE CONDITION AT THE HEADLAMP BALLAST MAY SET A DTC. THE DTC MAY BE INTERPRETED AS A LAMP OUTAGE AND EITHER THE RIGHT OR LEFT LOW BEAM FAILURE MESSAGE MAY DISPLAY IN THE DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER (DIC). THIS CONDITION IS INTERMITTENT AND EVEN THOUGH THE MESSAGE IS DISPLAYED, ALL EXTERIOR LAMPS STILL FUNCTION PROPERLY.
