Service bulletin 09-021-13

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component
09006162022-06-06. Service bulletin. Front power seats do not slide back and forth
09-027-21-38292021-10-02. Service bulletin. Some vehicles (without power seats) may exhibit a driver seat that gradually moves down by itself. This concern may be caused when a load, which is applied to the seat during braking, exceeds a certain level that could impact the retaining mechanism of the seat lifter causing the seat to gradually move downward. To eliminate this concern, the play in the lift mechanism gears has been reduced.
09-011-17-3339a2021-03-08. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may exhibit excessive noise when operating either front power seat forward or backward. The noise may be caused by cable vibration, which transmits power from the motor to the gears. The cable vibrates inside the case due to inadequate fabric wrapped around the cable. The fabric thickness has been increased to eliminate the noise.
09-005-18-3414a2018-08-20. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may exhibit excessive operating noise when sliding the driver and/or passenger power seat(s) back and forth. The noise may be caused by cable vibration, which transmits power from the motor to the gears. The cable vibrates inside the cable casing due to inadequately wrapped fabric around the cable. To eliminate this concern, the power seat cable has been changed to a type that produces less friction and noise.
09-005-18-34142018-03-05.
09-024-17-33502017-10-21.
09-034-15-30682017-06-07. Service bulletin. SOME CUSTOMERS MAY COMPLAIN THAT THE FRONT POWER (DRIVER AND/OR PASSENGER) SEATS DO NOT SLIDE BACK AND FORTH PROPERLY OR THAT THEY MAY BE COMPLETELY INOPERATIVE. THIS CONCERN MAY BE CAUSED BY A FOREIGN OBJECT GETTING STUCK UNDER THE POWER SLIDE UNIT (BELOW) WHILE IN OPERATION. THIS CAN CAUSE MOTOR MOUNTING BRACKET (A) DEFORMATION, RESULTING IN MOTOR CABLE (B) BREAKAGE. TO ELIMINATE THIS CONCERN, THE SHAPE OF THE MOTOR MOUNTING BRACKET (A) HAS BEEN MODIFIED TO INCREASE ITS STRENGTH.
09-004-15-30002017-05-25. Service bulletin. SOME VEHICLES MAY EXHIBIT AN INOPERATIVE SEAT WARMER (OR SEAT HEATER) ON THE DRIVER AND/OR PASSENGER SEAT. WHEN WEIGHT IS APPLIED TO THE SEAT, PART OF THE HEATER ELEMENT WIRE MAY COME OUT OF POSITION AND BECOME BENT. UNDER REPEATED STRESS, THE WIRE MAY BREAK CAUSING AN INOPERATIVE SEAT WARMER CONDITION. AN ADDITIONAL ADHESION TREATMENT HAS BEEN APPLIED TO ELIMINATE THE HEATER ELEMENT WIRE FROM COMING OUT OF THE POSITION.
09-004-15-3000A2017-05-17. Service bulletin. SOME VEHICLES MAY EXHIBIT AN INOPERATIVE SEAT WARMER (OR SEAT HEATER) ON THE DRIVER AND/OR PASSENGER SEAT. 09-006-15-2904A2017-05-17.
