# Service bulletin ASI\-44312

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- [16\-0064](/bulletins/10183765.md), 2020-12-07, Service bulletin: FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Some 2011\-2016 F\-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine may exhibit a fuel knock type noise at idle, illuminated MIL with one or more of the following DTCs: P0263, P0266, P0269, P0272, P0275, P0278, P0281, P0284,
- [SSM 49065](/bulletins/10179325.md), 2020-09-04, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. Some 2011\-2020 F\-Super Duty, 2015\-2019 Transit, 2016\-2021 F\-650/F\-750 and 2018\-2020 F\-150 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L, 3.2L or 3.0L engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with diagnostic trouble codes \(DTCs\) P207F, P20EE, P229F, P2201 and/or P24AE. This may be a result of using aftermarket cleaning liquids or tools for the exhaust gas recirculation \(EGR\) cooler or intake. Ford does not recommend the cleaning of diesel intakes or EGR coolers using any aftermarket tool that injects a cleaning foam or liquid substance into the EGR cooler or intake. Using these types of fluids can result in sodium poisoning of the NOx and particulate matter \(PM\) sensors resulting in degraded operation and permanent damage to the after treatment system. Use of these cleaning tools may void the emissions warranty of the hot end after treatment exhaust system and the attached emissions sensors.
- [DOR\-K2T5D\-01](/bulletins/10170197.md), 2020-01-13, Service bulletin: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM:INJECTORS; FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. This SKU is a DEF Injector. The customer communication requested return of unsold inventory to inspect the sealing. The injector sealing may have an issue which will cause a slow leak. A slow leak of the DEF Injector can lead to crystal formation which can cause aftertreatment related fault codes and ECU driven engine derating.
- [SSM 47836](/bulletins/10156889.md), 2019-04-08, Service bulletin: FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:DIESEL. Some 2011\-2019 F\-Super Duty 6.7L diesel equipped vehicles may exhibit a ticking/tapping noise traced to the reductant injector.
- [SSM 47836](/bulletins/10155577.md), 2019-04-01, Service bulletin: FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. Some 2011\-2019 F\-Super Duty 6.7L diesel equipped vehicles may exhibit a ticking/tapping noise traced to the reductant injector.
- [SSM 47402](/bulletins/10144202.md), 2018-09-10, Service bulletin: FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL; EQUIPMENT. When performing diagnostics for DTCs P2201, P2452, P2459, P246C and/or P2463, a manual regeneration and diesel particulate filter \(DPF\) parameter reset using the appropriate scan tool may need to be performed. To perform the manual regeneration, go to the Toolbox tab \> Powertrain \> Service Functions \> Diesel Particulate Regeneration System \> DPF Manual Regeneration. The scan tool may indicate that a regeneration of the DPF is not recommended at this time, selecting YES on this screen will allow the regeneration process to complete. To perform the DPF parameter reset, go to the Toolbox tab \> Powertrain \> Service Functions \> Diesel Particulate Regeneration System \> DPF Parameter Reset.
