# Service bulletin CSP\-12B32

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [SSM 52476](/bulletins/10254138.md), 2024-05-03, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT. All accessory stick\-on keyless entry keypads come with a wallet card containing the master code. If the accessory keypad was factory installed, this card will be placed in the glove box and should be handed to the vehicles owner during initial delivery. Unlike the integrated \(wired\) factory keypad, the accessory keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is lost, follow these steps to recover the code. Dealer Key Code access is granted through the Dealer Program Enrollment System \(DPES\); dealership management can authorize users. The authorized user must go to FMCDealer.com \> Parts and Service \> Parts Product Line Information \> Keys/Entry Devices \> Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Follow the instructions on the screen to obtain the master code for the accessory keypad.
- [SSM 50636](/bulletins/10209384.md), 2022-03-29, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE:SOFTWARE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT. 2011\-2022 F\-Super Duty and 2016\-2023 F\-650/F\-750 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an elevated idle condition. During prolonged idle time, vehicles may experience this elevated idle to reduce unburned hydrocarbons from the SCR. The powertrain control module estimates hydrocarbon levels in the SCR and may increase idle speed to remove them. Idle speed will be increased to 1000 RPM for ambient temperatures near 26°C \(80°F\) and may increase to 1200 RPM at \-40 °C \(\-40°F\). Vehicles may exhibit exhaust smoke and diesel exhaust fluid smell during elevated idle condition. Exhaust smoke and smell condition will not affect reliability or durability of the engine. Power take\-off \(PTO\) use and idle set point control will disable elevated speed. It is required that the operator monitor the vehicle and adhere to any Exhaust Filter warning messages.
- [TSB 22\-2115](/bulletins/10209377.md), 2022-03-29, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. Some 2011\-2012 F\-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp \(MIL\) with diagnostic trouble codes \(DTC\) P2073 and/or P2074 stored in the powertrain control module \(PCM\). This may be due to the software in the PCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM.
- [TSB160001](/bulletins/10204987.md), 2021-12-20, Service bulletin: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM; ENGINE; EQUIPMENT; POWER TRAIN; AIR BAGS; STRUCTURE. 49 CFR Part 579.5 Monthly Communications \- March 2016 Air bag warning light illuminated with diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) B141B and/or B141C
- [SSM 49495](/bulletins/10186678.md), 2021-02-04, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT. Some 2005\-2021 F\-Super Duty 4x4 vehicles operated in extreme dust, mud or tar sand conditions may exhibit accelerated 4x4 vacuum hub seal and or wheel bearing wear as a result of harsh operating conditions. A knuckle seal shield kit is now available for customer purchase. The kit is designed for severe duty and is non warrantable. The knuckle seal shield kit GC3Z\-54024A38\-A includes an installation instruction sheet
- [SSM 48070](/bulletins/10163573.md), 2019-08-07, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Some 2009\-2017 Expedition/Navigator, 2009\-2014 F\-150/Mustang, 2008\-2009 Sable, 2008\-2019 Taurus/Flex/MKT, 2013\-2019 Police Interceptor Sedan/Utility, and 2011\-2019 Explorer vehicles may exhibit inoperative or intermittent HVAC blower motor function at various fan speed settings. This may be due to a poor electrical connection at the blower motor speed control. If the blower motor speed control is determined to be the causal part, replacement of the electrical connector pigtail harness \(14S411\) to the blower motor speed control is also recommended to avoid repeat repairs. Use pigtail harness service part numbers 3U2Z\-14S411\-ZEA or CU2Z\-14S411\-FA, as both parts are interchangeable. Refer to Wiring Diagram, Cell 5 for recommended splicing procedures.
- [SSM 47797](/bulletins/10156877.md), 2019-04-08, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. - [SSM 47402](/bulletins/10144202.md), 2018-09-10, Service bulletin: FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL; EQUIPMENT. When performing diagnostics for DTCs P2201, P2452, P2459, P246C and/or P2463, a manual regeneration and diesel particulate filter \(DPF\) parameter reset using the appropriate scan tool may need to be performed. To perform the manual regeneration, go to the Toolbox tab \> Powertrain \> Service Functions \> Diesel Particulate Regeneration System \> DPF Manual Regeneration. The scan tool may indicate that a regeneration of the DPF is not recommended at this time, selecting YES on this screen will allow the regeneration process to complete. To perform the DPF parameter reset, go to the Toolbox tab \> Powertrain \> Service Functions \> Diesel Particulate Regeneration System \> DPF Parameter Reset.
