# Service bulletin TB\-97\-09\-01

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- [A481463 2028220\-](/bulletins/10124754.md), 2017-12-05, Service bulletin: STEERING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 48 number 13\-54 dated September 13, 2013. Steering wheel appearance damaged due to external impact \(e.g., contact with finger nails, zippers, watches, rings, etc.\). External impact \(e.g., contact with finger nails, zippers, watches, rings etc.\) can cause damage to the appearance of the steering wheel. This type of damage is not warrantable, as numerous investigations have shown that there is no fault in material or workmanship.
- [A481349 2015819\-](/bulletins/10124652.md), 2017-12-05, Service bulletin: STEERING:ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 48 number 13\-43 dated April 19, 2013. The customer may report that the Easy Entry function of the power adjustable steering column intermittently does not work.
- [A481351 2017266\-](/bulletins/10124650.md), 2017-12-05, Service bulletin: STEERING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 48 number 10\-09 dated August 13, 2010. Electric steering column adjustment is restricted or does not work at all. Incorrect operation of Easy Entry is not the cause. It is unlikely that external forces have led to the loss of the stored end positions of the adjustment movement. See TSB 2015819, 48 Easy Entry function of the power adjustable steering column intermittently does not work, for more information. The seat adjustments can be used to maintain the 10\-inch minimum recommended distance from the steering wheel in case of airbag deployment. The steering column may be under tension due to unfavorable tolerances of the steering column and module cross carrier. As a result, the current draw of the regulator motors is above specification, so the electric steering column adjustment fails.
- [A481343 2015819\-](/bulletins/10123925.md), 2017-11-17, Service bulletin: STEERING:ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 48 number 11\-15 dated January 10, 2011. The customer may report that the Easy Entry function of the power adjustable steering column intermittently does not work.
- [A461525 2022584\-](/bulletins/10123716.md), 2017-11-17, Service bulletin: STEERING: STEERING WHEEL/HANDLE BAR; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 46 number 14\-86 dated July 14, 2014. DO NOT use this TSB if there is another TSB for same concern applicable to the VIN. This TSB is only intended for diagnostic purposes and does not serve as a guideline for determining warrantable conditions. Customer may report that the steering wheel vibrates or pulsates when the brakes are applied. driving style, environmental conditions, and service history of the vehicle. Additionally, as brake pads and discs wear, their dampening ability is reduced. Disc thickness variation \(DTV\) is a common condition that contributes to brake pulsation. DTV occurs when the two braking surfaces of the brake disc are no longer parallel to each other. This condition cannot be accurately measured with normal workshop tools.
- [A481459 2017266\-](/bulletins/10122420.md), 2017-11-08, Service bulletin: STEERING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 48 number 13\-51 dated August 30, 2013. Electrically\-adjustable steering column adjustment is restricted and does not adjust vertically. Incorrect operation of Easy Entry is not the cause. It is unlikely that external forces have led to the loss of the stored end positions of the adjustment movement. See TSB 2015819, 48 Easy Entry function of the power adjustable steering column intermittently does not work, for more information. Seat adjustments can be used to maintain the 10\-inch minimum recommended distance from the steering wheel in case of airbag deployment. The axial adjustment is still functional during this condition. The steering column may be under tension due to unfavorable tolerances of the steering column and module cross carrier. As a result, the current draw of the regulator motors is above specification, which causes the electric steering column adjustment to fail. Once the vehicle electrical system control module, J519 \(address word 09\), detects an excessive current draw, the basic settings will be erased. If basic settings are not stored in the vehicle electrical system control module, the module will not send voltage/current to the motor to operate the vertical adjustment.
