# Service bulletin 2012749\-2

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

The customer may report that the tail lamp lighting does not switch over from bumper to the lid, with lid closed. The rear bumper lights function normally \(brake lights, reverse lights, driving lights, turn signals\). The center mount brake light functions normally. DTC 03073 \(Closed Rear Lid Sensor \- Incorrect Signal\) may be stored in the comfort system central control module, J393 \(address word 46\).
- [A941316 2033675\-](/bulletins/10123933.md), 2017-11-17, Service bulletin: EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TAIL LIGHTS. The customer may report that the tail lamp lighting does not switch between the rear lid and the bumper when the lid is operated. DTC 03703 \(Rear lid \-closed\- sensor\) may be stored in the comfort system central control module, J393 \(address word 46\).
- [A941312 2017566\-](/bulletins/10123849.md), 2017-11-17, Service bulletin: EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS:SWITCH; EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 94 number 09\-23 dated August 12, 2009. Headlight switch knob is pressed in. The switch functions correctly. The headlight switch knob was designed with a normal position and a pushed\-in position. This is a deliberate design feature designed to avoid injuries in the event of a collision.
- [A941296 2027773\-](/bulletins/10122840.md), 2017-11-08, Service bulletin: EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS; EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 94 number 12\-69 dated March 15, 2012. Part or all of the daytime running lights do not work on vehicles with LED DRLs. For vehicles with halogen DRLs, please reference TSB 2017488, 94 Halogen Daytime running lights do not work. In the past, the daytime running light bulbs were a serviceable part. In this application, the LED strip cannot be replaced, and may have an associated control module. This TSB is for servicing information only.
- [A451206 2031989\-](/bulletins/10122679.md), 2017-11-08, Service bulletin: EXTERIOR LIGHTING:BRAKE LIGHTS; EXTERIOR LIGHTING:BRAKE LIGHTS:SWITCH. After replacing the ABS control unit, the new control unit stores DTC 01044 \(Control Unit Incorrectly Coded\). No warning light is on and the brake electronics work correctly. Due to a supersession of parts, only ABS/ESP hydraulic control units prepared for vehicles equipped with the start\-stop feature are supplied as replacement parts. Once installed, the new unit stores DTC 01044 \(Control Unit Incorrectly Coded\) because it does not receive a response on the data bus when checking for the start\-stop feature. The missing response results in the DTC entry. Within the scenario described in the Condition section of this TSB, the missing start\-stop response is the only reason for this DTC. In all other respects the coding of the ABS/ESP control unit matches the vehicle data. The entry does not affect the function of the brake electronics and no warning appears in the instrument cluster. There are no effects on performance or safety.
- [A941200 2024877\-](/bulletins/10122672.md), 2017-11-08, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 94 number 12\-83 dated July 9, 2012. Warning light for dynamic headlight range control is displayed in the instrument cluster. DTC 00003 / 14 \(Control unit faulty\) is registered in the dynamic headlight range control unit, address word 55. Both headlights function normally. Vehicles equipped with adaptive \(cornering\) lighting. New software version 0010 in the dynamic headlight range control module addresses this condition. If the headlight range control module has a software version lower than 0010 installed, then use the SVM code listed in Service to update the module. Some control units will already have software version 0010 installed but can still exhibit the conditions mentioned above. When this occurs, the software will need to be reflashed using a separate SVM code. The corrupt software will be overwritten. The software version does not change after the update.
- [A941435 2024877\-](/bulletins/10122305.md), 2017-11-08, Service bulletin: EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 94 number 12\-00 dated December 21, 2012. The warning light for dynamic headlight range control is displayed in the instrument cluster. DTC 00003 \- 14 is stored in the headlamp range control module, J431 \(address word 55\). Both headlights function normally. The vehicle is equipped with adaptive \(cornering\) lighting. There is a software issue in the dynamic headlight range control module.
