# Service bulletin 0900407

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Part Description: Valve Body Assembly Issue Description: Valve body design was changed between 2010MY and 2011MY applications. To prevent mix matching valve bodies and solenoid packs the connectors are color coded.\~ Valve bodies with a white connector can be used on 2010, 2009, 2008..., model years. Valve bodies with a gray connector can only be used on 2011, 2012, 2013..., model years.\~ Solenoid packs with a white connector are used with 2010, 2009, 2008..., model years. Flash: Performance Derate Above 55 MPH Immediately After Start\-Up When Accelerating At Wide Open Throttle This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module \(PCM\) with new software. A small number of customers may experience any of the following conditions: Performance derate above 55 MPH when accelerating at wide open throttle immediately following engine start\-up.

Customers may indicate that the ?Service 4WD? indicator in the instrument cluster is illuminated. They may also indicate that the transfer case will not shift from 4WD High, 4WD Low, and/or Neutral once the lamp is illuminated. Further investigation identifies that a Diagnostic Trouble Code C140F is stored or active in the Final Drive Control Modules \(FDCM\) Memory

- [9001645](/bulletins/10136933.md), 2018-05-21, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:MANIFOLD/HEADER/MUFFLER/TAIL PIPE. Part Description: Short Runner Valve \(Actuator\) Issue Description: Issue 1\~ JC,JS '08\-09MY 3.5L only\~ Caution \- Do not replace the intake manifold for a short runner valve \(SRV\) fault \(P1004 / P2008 / P2016 / P2017\) or for a manifold tuning valve \(MTV\) fault \(P1005 / P2077 / P2078\). Instead follow the service procedure to investigate P codes associated with diagnosis of the SRV or MTV, then cycle the actuator using a diagnostic tool and verify that the PWM output is 50 \(\+ 2%\) de\-energized and 80 \(\+ 2 %\) energized. If no problems observed, then idle the vehicle and verify the correct PWM output \(50 \+ 2% PWM\). Replace the actuator if you do not get the desired output. Issue 2\~ If the SRV actuator or intake manifold is being replaced for a P1004 Short Runner Valve Performance fault code and the vehicle was built prior to 2/5/07 , technicians must complete the module reflash and verification test per TSB 18\-003\-07 REV. A to ensure the parts need to be replaced. Please reference TSB 18\-003\-07 REV. A for specific details on the procedure.
